Sir Bruno Grana, President and General Executive Manager of IAME SPA passed away on the 24th August at 8.30pm at the age of 78. Signor Grana founded the company IAME the world leader in manufacturing of motors for kart racing.

Signor Grana discovered karting in the United States in the late Fifties; he was fascinated by karting and convinced the company Parilla Motors to produce motors for karts for exporting to the United States and later to most other Countries around the World from Italy. They quickly had huge selling success and in 1961 gave life to the Komet engine which won on its first debut.

Leopard Light at 160kg will be the support class on Sunday September 18th. By doing this competitors only need to be there for the one day instead of being present for two days for the same amount of laps.

For the first time, Australia's brightest young drivers will be able to nominate themselves to be considered for the 2006 CAMS Rising Star program. Details of the new selection process were announced today by CAMS.

Launched in 2005 following a successful pilot year in 2004, the CAMS Rising Star program aims to identify and fast-track the development of young Australian drivers from the junior competition ranks to national and international competition through clearly defined and supported pathways.

The NKC have approved the new style MG Yellow tyre for immediate release. A six month phase out period for the old MG Yellow tyre will be in place from 4 March 2005 until 4 September 2005.

Note: Distributors with quantities of old stock should liaise directly with the importer for possible return.

The 2004 Australian Motor Sport Awards were held on Friday the 10th of December 2004 in the 'Experimedia Room' at the State Library of Victoria, Melbourne. Attended by nearly 200 people and hosted by Alison Drower, the evening was a celebration of the various 2004 National Champions in their respective motor sport categories as well as several other special award winners.

This chassis won the 2004 Junior European Series, and was also 1st, 2nd & 3rd on the first round of the 2004 Senior European Series!

CIK FIA homologated (57/CH/08), JT3 is a chassis totally new, projected for the use of soft tyres, available both sprint and shifter. The frame has been realized with Cr-Mo steel tubes, with diameter 30 and 32 mm.

The Trulli Kart Team run by Remo Racing has pulled off a great result in this year's Australian CIK Championships by taking out the FA (Barclay Holden) and ICA (Ashley Walsh) classes, as well as second place in JICA (Jake Williams) and winning the Manufacturers Cup.
