Lachlan Gibbons Joins the newly formed Kosmic Racing NSW team for the 2012 CIK Stars of Karting Series

Kosmic Racing NSW has today announced New South Wales teenager Lachlan Gibbons will be joining the newly formed team for the 2012 CIK Stars of Karting Series.

The newest Junior Star for Kosmic Racing NSW Lachlan Gibbons will join Dimitri Agathos in the Pro Junior (KF3) ranks for the five round series that kicks off at South Australia’s Bolivar Raceway on February 25/26.

Gibbons has had extensive race experience over the last four years from club to state level, with many race wins and podiums. Last year was the year he decided to step up to compete in mainly title meetings so he could race against the best junior drivers in the country. He hopes to continue that path in 2012, mainly in the Pro Junior (KF3) and Junior Clubman categories.

“After chatting with both Lachlan and his Dad I believe he has the determination to succeed in the top Junior category in the country,” said Kosmic Racing NSW Team Principal Peter Galvin.

“It won’t be easy by any stretch but Lachlan will be given as much expertise from the team that we can give him. It’s worth noting that the senior drivers in the team are very keen to try and help the younger members with their wealth of experience.”

The Kosmic Racing NSW team will consist of three drivers in the Pro Light (KF1) category – Cian Fothergill, Matthew Waters (who won the CIK Trophy of NZ last month) and Daniel Holihan, Gibbons and Agathos in Pro Junior (KF3) along with Matthew Boylan and Elle Brydon in the Australia Leopard Challenge.
